ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Beijing (No Meal)
On arrival, look for our guide welcoming sign. Transfer to hotel. The rest of day is free.
Day 2 - Beijing (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit of the Beihai Park - an former imperial garden, many of local people do the Taiji or Wushu in the morning, the famous White Pagoda, located in the center of island, it has become an important landmark of the city. It was built in 1651 during the Qing Dynasty, standing 35.9 meters high, the inverted-bowl-style Lamaism pagoda on top of Qiong Islet looks beautiful and majestic. On the Bottom is a huge cross-shaped Sumeru pedestal made of white marble.
After lunch, excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City with its grand palaces and courtyards. Built in 1420, it was here that 24 emperors lived and ruled for over 500 years. The south gate leads you to Tian An Men Square - the biggest of its kind in the world.
Dinner will serve the Beijing Roast Duck dinner at Hepingmen Quanjude Restaurant.
Day 3 - Beijing (B/L)
After breakfast, visit of the Great Wall (Juyong pass),you also can find a new pagoda style, in the middle of Juyongguan Pass, there is a "Cloud Platform" with another name of "Crossing Street Tower". It was made of white marble in the Yuan Dynasty with a height of 9.5 meters. Around the top of the platform there are many architectures such as stone railings and a watching post. They are still kept in the style of the Yuan Dynasty. In the middle of the base of the platform there is an arched door where men, horses and carriages could pass through. Many animal images were carved in the arched hole and the arched door. On the walls of both sides of the door, the statues of gods and scriptures are carved. There were three white towers on the platform in the past (this is how it got the name of "Crossing Street Tower") and were destroyed in the transitional period between the Yuan Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty. Later a Tai'an Temple was built on the platform but was later destroyed in the Qing Dynasty.
Day 4 - Beijing (B/L)
After breakfast, visit of the temple of Heaven which itself has become a symbol of the city. Here ancient emperor worshipped God and prayed for harvest.
After Lunch, visit of the Tianning Temple Pagoda, located outside Guang'anmen, which is one of the earliest tall buildings in the ancient capital, a valuable memento of the Liao Dynasty. Continue to Vajrasana Pagoda at Zhejue Temple, over 500 years ago. The carving on the pagoda depict the five mounts belonging to the five Dhyani Buddha's of the celestial vajra world, and the five pagodas on the pedestal represent the five Dhyani Buddha's themselves.
Day 5 - Beijing to Xi'an by flight (B/L/D)
After breakfast, hotel check-out and transfer to airport for the flight to Xian - the ancient capital of China. Upon arrival, visit of the World-famous Terracotta Warriors where life-sized infantrymen, archer, officers and their horses symbolically guard the tomb of the first Qin emperor.
Dinner will be served dumpling dinner.
Day 6 - Xi'an (B/L)
After breakfast, visit of the Shaanxi History Museum where you will discover how Xian become the cradle of Chinese culture.
After lunch, Continue the China Ancient Pagoda Tour to Big Wild Goose Pagoda, multistory style pagoda, it was an important landmark in Xi'an.
Continue to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which is Multi-Eaved style pagoda, since it was smaller and built later than the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, it was named the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, it has kept all its Tang Dynasty features. Transfer to Train Station in the evening, take the overnight train to the Zhengzhou - the capital city of Henan Province.
Day 7 - Zhengzhou to Kaifeng to Zhengzhou by private vehicle (B/L/D)
Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, transfer to Kaifeng, It is one of China's most famous ancient capitals, with around 3000 years of history. Visit of the Youguo Temple Iron Pagoda, Actually it is not made of iron, the result will be opened when you arrive there.
After lunch, visit of the Po Pagoda, which is over 31 meters high, the ten thousand brick Buddha images were all carved in the Song Dynasty. Return to Zhengzhou.
Day 8 - Zhengzhou to Shaolin Temple to Zhengzhou by private vehcile (B/L/D)
After breakfast, transfer to Shaolin Temple, it is reputed to be 'the Number One Temple under Heaven'. The temple is the cradle of the Chinese Zen Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts such as Shaolin Cudgel.
Also visit of the Pagoda Forest in Shaolin Temple, was a concentration of tomb pagodas for eminent monks, abbots and ranking monks at the temple. A rough count shows more than 250 tomb pagodas of various sizes, making it the biggest pagoda forest in China.
Return to Zhengzhou.
Day 9 - Zhengzhou to Hangzhou by flight (B/L)
After breakfast, hotel check-out and transfer to the airport for the flight to Hangzhou, where sightseeing focuses on the lovely gardens, lakes and terrific islands. Upon arrival, tour to Lingyin Temple and Feilai Peak - the biggest Buddhist Temple in the southern China, also the Stone Pagoda in Lingyin temple was built in 326 during the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
Day10 - Hangzhou (B/L)
After breakfast, take a tour to the West Lake by cruise and visit of the Ruins of Leifeng Pagoda and new Leifeng Pagoda. Compared to other Pagodas, Leifeng Pagoda had a saddest history. After lunch, continue to visit of the Pagoda of Six Harmonies , standing by the Qiantang River , it has for hundreds of year been praised by poets and men of letter. The balconies with banisters around each storey are spacious and convenient for people to walk around and enjoy the beautiful landscape in the open. After that visit of the Longjing tea farm to taste the famous Longjing Green Tea.
Day11 - Hangzhou to Suzhou by private vehcile (B/L)
After breafkast, hotel check-out and transfer to Suzhou. Visit of the Tiger Hill. Climb the hill and find a number of historical sites, which can be traced back to the founding of Suzhou. After lunch, visit of the Bao'en Temple Pagoda, it was known as Beisi(North Temple) Pagoda.
Day12 - Suzhou to Shanghai by private vehcile (B/L)
After breakfast, hotel check-out and visit of the Master of the Nets garden, is among the finest gardens in China. After lunch, visit of the Twin Pagodas at Luohanyuan Temple, this structure is rare among ancient pagodas in China. And followed by a trip to Silk Reeling Factory. transfer to Shanghai later.
Day13 - Shanghai (B)
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to airport for departure or continuation of your trip.
