ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Fly to Zhangjiajie (No Meal)
Take flight to Zhangjiajie. You are met on arrival and transferred to hotel.
Day 2 - Zhangjiajie (B/L/D)
A full-day tour to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park starting with a cable-car to the village of Huangshizhai, which has risen and formed a series of natural wonders with more than 2,000 peaks and numerous steep cliffs-stopped with greenish, sturdy pines and a virgin forest. After lunch, visit of the Golden Whip Brook. The stream water is crystal clear all year round. It is 5.5 kilometers long and winds its way between precipitation cliffs and peaks. The place has been referred to as a "gallery of landscape" and "paradise in the world".
Day 3 - Zhangjiajie (B/L/D)
The whole day to visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, "the best cave in China", which has 4 levels and another one under the river. All along the cave, enjoy stalagmites and stalactites changing in shape and color. After lunch, ascend by cable-car the Mount Tianzi which covers an area of 63 square kilometers and has a combined characteristic of being fantastic, dangerous, graceful, tranquil and wild. Standing on the summit, one can take into sight all the peaks and valleys.
Day 4 - Zhangjiajie to Jishou by private vehicle (B/L/D)
Transfer to Jishou, the Ancient Phoenix Town, which is known as one of the most beautiful towns in China. Visit of the Southern Great Wall, the Huangsiqiao Castle, the Fenghuang Ancient Town, the Shen Congwen former residence, the Xiong Xiling former residence, the Tuo River, then take a look of the Tujia and Miao minorities's unique houses hanging over the water.
Day 5 - Jishou to Zhangjiajie by private vehicle (B/L/D)
A one-day visit of the Aizhai Highway, a highway wonder of the world, the Liusha waterfalls and the splendid "Pangu Peak", which towers into the clouds. Then enjoy the local custom welcoming-guest wine, the flower-drum dance, etc. After dinner, transfer back to Zhangjiajie. Rest of day is at leisure.
Day 6 - Zhangjiajie Departure (B/L)
Half-day tour to Baofeng Lake and enjoy from the boat the beauty of the countless peaks reflecting in the green water.
After lunch, transfer to airport for departure.
