Lhasa - Tsedang - Samye - Gyantse - Shigatse - Lhasa ( 8 days / 7 nights )
ITINERARY:
Day 1 - Arrive in Lhasa (L)
Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to hotel. Rest of day is at leisure for acclimatization or visit of local bazaar on your own.
Day 2 - Lhasa (B/L)
Visit of the Potala Palace.
Afternoon visit of the Sera Monastery.
Day 3 - Lhasa (B/L)
Visit of the Jokhang Temple and the Barkhor street.
Afternoon visit of Norbulingkha, the summer palace of the Dalai lama.
Day 4 - Lhasa to Tsedang to Samye (B/L)
Transfer to Tsangpo River, visit of the fantastic Samye Monastery.
Afternoon visit of the Yumbulakhang Palace, the residence of the first Tibetan king.
Day 5 - Samye to Yamdrok Gyantse (B/L)
Transfer to the small town of Gyantse and climbing over the snow pass of Kambala (4,790 m) to have an overlook of the Yamdrok Lake.
From back to the bottom of the mountain, drive along the lakeside.
Upon arrival at Gyantse, visit of the Perkhor Chode Monastery.
Day 6 - Gyantse to Shigatse (B/L)
After breakfast, tranfer to Shigatse.
Afternoon visit of the impressive Tashilhunpo Monastery, a sprawling complex with a gigantic statue of Maitreya.
Shopping at the Shigatse's outdoor market for some real treasures.
Day 7 - Shigatse to Lhasa (B/L)
After breakfast, on the tranfer back to Lhasa, enjoy the Yarlung Zsangop River.
Day 8 - Lhasa Departure (B)
After breakfast, hotel check-out and transfer to airport for departure
